Car Seat Shampoo and Extraction
For suitable seat upholstery, shampoo and extraction address dirt caught below the surface: the seat is cleaned, and loosened soil and cleaning liquid are removed. It is more involved than wiping the seat, but it cannot promise to erase every old stain.

The purpose
Why not just wipe the seat?
A surface wipe can pick up fresh marks. Soil that has worked into cloth needs a more thorough clean. Shampooing and extracting is meant to work on that embedded dirt, then take cleaning liquid and loosened soil back out. Vacuuming first helps remove loose debris before a deeper clean.
The exact method should fit the material and condition. Cloth, leather, and vinyl do not all get the same treatment, and leaving upholstery too wet can cause problems. Tell us what your seats are made of and what has spilled on them.
Set the right expectation
Will stains and smells disappear?
Sometimes a thorough clean makes a big visible difference. An old or set-in stain, dye transfer, damaged material, or an odor with a source outside the seat may remain. We do not promise complete stain or smell removal, a particular drying time, or that every seat receives identical wet treatment.
If there has been a large spill or water leak, describe it when you request the detail. A clean is not a substitute for diagnosing damage beneath the upholstery.
RANA's menu
Is seat cleaning included?
Yes. RANA's $120 Interior Detail Reset includes seats shampooed and extracted, plus a full vacuum, carpets and mats washed, and cleaning throughout the cabin. The service page lists the full scope. If you have a specific stain or delicate material, mention it with your request so we can confirm the right approach.

Consumer Reports' interior-care guidance covers cloth upholstery cleaning and the risk of soaking seats. The International Detailing Association's interior-detail survey treats wet extraction as a distinct service, which is why you should check any detailer's actual inclusions. These general sources do not specify RANA's equipment or guarantee a result.
