Plan your interior detail
How Long Does an Interior Car Detail Take?
RANA estimates about two hours for an interior detail. Your car's size, its condition, and the details of the visit can change the time needed. If you need the car back by a set time, call RANA before you plan around that estimate.

What can change the interior detail time?
A larger car or an interior that needs more attention can take longer. RANA's interior detail includes a full vacuum, seats shampooed and extracted, and carpets and mats washed, along with cleaning around the cabin. These are parts of the service, not a promise that every car will be finished at the same time.
Think about what RANA should know before the visit. Is there a spill, pet hair, or a seat material you're concerned about? Call and describe it so RANA can discuss the work and the time with you. You can also read how seat shampoo and extraction work if seat cleaning is your main concern.
Does the two-hour estimate include dry seats?
The two-hour estimate is for the detail work. It does not promise that a wet-cleaned fabric seat will be dry and ready to use when the work ends. Drying is a separate step. BISSELL's fabric-seat care guide also separates cleaning from drying; its advice is general fabric-seat care, not a time estimate for RANA's service.
If you'll need to sit on a cleaned seat soon after the visit, ask RANA about that when you call. The answer depends on the car and the work it needs. There is no set drying time to plan on here.
What should you confirm before planning your day?
Confirm the work estimate, the visit setup, and when you need to use the car. A preferred arrival window is when you would like RANA to arrive; it is not the full time needed for the detail or a confirmed appointment.
Before you plan the rest of your day, check:
- How long RANA expects the work to take for your car and its condition.
- Whether seat cleaning could affect when you can use the car.
- Whether the car can stay parked with room to work beside it, and whether a hose and outlet are available for the visit.
- Whether your address or parking area needs permission or special access. If you park in a shared lot, see the apartment and condo parking guide. The mobile visit checklist covers the other things to have ready.
For example, if you need the car for a school run at 3 p.m., don't treat a preferred arrival window and the two-hour estimate as a promised return time. Call RANA with that deadline and ask whether the work, any seat drying, and your parking setup fit your day.
Request an interior detail and confirm the time
Book Your Detail to send RANA your service, vehicle, contact and address details, plus your preferred week, day and arrival window. RANA will follow up to confirm the appointment and visit details. Sending the form does not reserve the window.
For a firm departure deadline or a question about drying, Call About Timing before you send the request. If a hose or outlet is not available, call to ask whether bringing your car to a Fairfax location by arrangement could work. RANA will confirm that option with you; please don't drive there without an arrangement.
